Houston Rodeo fashion trends

When you think about the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, you often think about the animals, the fair rides, and even the food. However, many people go out there to look for new fashion trends.

From home decor to your cowgirl and cowboy get-up you can find it everywhere.

"There's a lot of exotic leathers that we do and color is becoming really important," said Mark Dunlap, M.L. Leddy's.

For fashion trends this rodeo season it's all about bold colors.

"(As for the men they) want ostrich they want alligator something unique and different," said Dunlap.

When it comes to buying something truly unique, Houston's rodeo has it. A woman from College Station came up with the idea to give antique Louis Vuitton a rodeo edge.

"It is the bag I would say of the season," said Leathers with Style employee,Jamie Kronk. "She hand does all the lace on these bags she hand does the tooling on the straps."

Her collection is called "Leather and Vodka."

One trend that never goes out of style is bling and you can find it on just about everything.

"If you want it to be really sparkly you gotta have a lot of stuff on it," said Don Byrd, with Rhinestone Cowgirl.
