HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Have a burning question about the future of HISD? Houston's new superintendent wants to hear from you.

HISD's new superintendent spent the first day of school speaking with students to learn about challenges they face in the district.

The district says the community will have the opportunity to ask questions for Carranza, who has held more than two dozen town hall meetings since taking the reins in August.

The English virtual town hall runs from 6-7pm, with the Spanish town hall to follow from 7:30-8:30pm.

The new HISD superintendent, Richard Carranza, did not discuss specifics, but certainly signaled an open-minded approach to the issue of which restrooms students should be allowed.

The town hall can be seen on HoustonISD.org, on the HISD Facebook page, and on HISD-TV (Comcast 18 and AT&T UVerse 99).

You can submit questions for Carranza one of three ways:

  1. Send your question by email to AskTheSupe@HoustonIsd.org

  2. Post a tweet using #AskTheSupe, or

  3. Ask your question on the HISD Facebook page
