HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The principal of Marshall Middle School has been temporarily removed from the campus after allegations of misconduct, Houston ISD announced.
According to the district, the principal will not be allowed on campus until an investigation is complete.
Sharonda Thomas is the mother of a girl in the sixth grade at Marshall Middle. She said she left work early to find out what was going on at her daughter's school.
"I was very concerned, considering I had just spoken with him about my daughter," Thomas said. "So, whether it was with a student or a parent or one of the teachers here, I'm really concerned about the atmosphere here."
Another parent, Ana Guerro, said she wants more information from HISD.
"Anyone who takes on administering a bunch of kids, it's hard," Guerro said. "But if it turns out to be true, then he needs to be punished at the fullest extent of the law."
No other details have been released.
