HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston fire officials are investigating a possible arson at a furniture store in Southeast Houston.
Crews were called to Houston Furniture Bank's Furniture Outlet Center along the Gulf Freeway at Hussion after a police office noticed flames coming from an 18 wheeler on the property.
The officer radioed HFD for help. It appears furniture was inside the 18 wheeler. HFD arson investigators are calling the fire suspicious.
According to their website, Houston Furniture Bank's Outlet Center was developed as a social business to supplement funding for Houston Furniture Bank through the resale of donated items. These items, both new and gently used, are donated by major furniture companies and members of the Hotel & Lodging Association, as well as other local businesses and individuals.
