Charges dropped against coach, 41, who married student, 16

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Charges against an acting coach who married his 16-year-old student have been dropped, but the investigation continues.

The Harris County DA's office dropped sex assault of child charges against 41-year-old Ilich Guardiola. Investigators tell us neither the victim nor her mother will cooperate with authorities.

The investigation began after a traffic stop back in March in which the teen told officers she and Guardiola were in love. During the course of the investigation, Guardiola took the teen to Las Vegas, where the two were married with permission from the girl's mother.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office is asking the public to come forward with any information on other possible victims.
