HOUSTON -- An alert was sent to parents of students at an HISD high school about possible exposure to hepatitis A.
The city of Houston is telling parents that their children may have been exposed to a person at Stephen F. Austin High School who had hepatitis A, which is a highly contagious liver disease.
This exposure may have happened between April 20 and May 11.
The Houston Health Department was at Austin High School Tuesday and will return Wednesday to provide information to parents and answer questions.
