Head-on collision leaves 1 dead, injures 2 others in Conroe

CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- A head-on crash killed one person and critically injured two others near Conroe.

Firefighters say a Grand Prix crossed into oncoming traffic on FM 2854 near Ponderosa. The Grand Prix clipped another car and then slammed head-on into a pickup.

An 18-year-old woman in the Grand Prix died. A passenger in that car and the driver of the pickup were critically injured.

The driver of the third car was not hurt.
