Man struck and killed while walking down road in NW Harris County

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A pedestrian is dead following an overnight car crash in northwest Harris County.

Deputies say it happened around 2 a.m., when a man was struck by a red Dodge pick-up as he was walking down the road at Barker Cypress near Canyon Cypress.

The man died on impact.

According to deputies, the driver did not show signs of impairment and no charges are expected at this time.
