Woman accused in bizarre porch theft charged
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Earlier this week, we showed you surveillance video of a woman taking a wreath and welcome sign from a home in northeast Harris County.
The video was from the Eagle Springs subdivision. After the video was posted online, deputy constables were able to identify the suspect as Carley Williams.
Investigators say not only were the wreath and welcome sign recovered, but they also found patio furniture they say was stolen by Williams from the porch of another home. The furniture had been disassembled, apparently in an attempt to conceal it.
Deputy constables put the patio furniture back together for the homeowner before it was returned.
They were then able to get a warrant for Williams' arrest on a charge of second degree theft.
