Daycare bus hits girl near Fort Bend Co. elementary school

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Officials at Fort Bend ISD say a child has been taken to the hospital after being hit by a school bus.

The 7-year-old girl was near Mission Bend Elementary School on Mission Glen Drive when she was struck Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of the Kids-R-Kids daycare bus stopped to cooperate with law enforcement investigating the accident.

Authorities say the girl was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
