Galveston to vote on Seawall paid parking program extension

GALVESTON, Texas -- Galveston voters are deciding whether to extend the paid parking program on the Seawall through 2030.

The payments, which are collected between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., are used to fund Seawall improvements, including restrooms and landscaping. The election will also decide whether to increase the hourly fee from $1 to $2.

The election is May 4.
