Firefighters find suspected pot growing operation while battling blaze

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters battling a house fire in northeast Houston ended up finding a suspected marijuana growing operation.



The fire started Saturday afternoon on Oak Village Drive. The house was destroyed, but fire crews found several large marijuana plants in the back yard.



Officers arrested two people on drug possession charges. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
