FALLS CHURCH, VA (KTRK) -- Dozens of witnesses spotted a white-hot fireball as it streaked across the skies of the northeast U.S.
The meteor could be seen Saturday night from Washington D.C. to Ohio.
Reports of the meteor began around 6:17pm as it flashed into view over the northeast U.S., being seen from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Ontario, Canada, according to tweets.
Alex Salvador was behind the wheel in Falls Church, Virginia, traveling west when he spotted it.

Meanwhile, Adrian Burns was driving through Lancaster, Ohio, when the meteor burned fast and bright in the heavens above his vehicle.
His reaction was caught on video using a dashboard cam.
"Woah, what was that?," Burns can be heard saying. "Did I catch that?"
