Feral cat takeover
Residents of a neighborhood in Warr Acres, Oklahoma say feral cats have taken over their streets

WARR ACRES, OK (KTRK) -- A small town northwest of Oklahoma city is trying to battle back against its booming feral cat population, KFOR reports.

"You can see at least 20 of them hanging out in the yard," Warr Acres resident Claudia Jones said.

The cats can been seen all over the place in the neighborhood. They spend their day lounging around, hunting mice and using local yards as their litter boxes.

The mayor of the city is trying to get the feral cat problem under control. They've ordered more traps in an effort to round up the cats.

Residents hope something gets done soon. They say it appears many of the cats are pregnant.
