Man fatally shot at northeast Harris County apartment complex

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities are investigating after a man was shot several times at an apartment complex in northeast Harris County.

It happened around 6:30pm in the breezeway of a complex in the 300 block of Audrey Lane.

Authorities say they found multiple shell casings on the apartment grounds and the 22-year-old victim died by the time he arrive at East Houston Regional Hospital.

Authorities say several people heard the shots fired but no one saw anything.

"This is a high-crime area over here and that is not the first shooting that has occurred in that particular spot at the apartment complex," said Sgt Ben Beall with the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Division.

The victim's identity has not yet been released, and authorities do not have any suspects yet.

Authorities are still investigating.
