WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTRK) -- From first lady Melania Trump's sky blue dress to Kellyanne Conway's patriotic outfit, the internet was a buzz over the inauguration fashion.

Ivanka Trump left New York City for Washington, D.C. with her family in an emerald green dress and matching coat.

ABC13's Stretch Your Dollar reporter Patricia found similar looks for less at Etsy and Lord and Taylor.

Ivanka later wowed in her look for her father's cabinet dinner Thursday night. Ivanka shared a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a long, white gown with a large black sash around the waist by Oscar de la Renta.

Melania shimmered in gold at the dinner. The long, sequined gown was a custom design by Reem Acra.

Melania went with Ralph Lauren for Inauguration Day. She wore a sky blue, double face, cashmere mock turtleneck dress with a matching cropped cutaway jacket. She wore suede gloves and carried a suede clutch, which were all part of the Ralph Lauren collection.

Ivanka stayed with white and Oscar de la Renta for the inauguration ceremony, wearing trousers with an asymmetrical coat.

At Friday night's inaugural balls, Melania Trump got her first opportunity as first lady to show off her fashion sense at a formal event.

She wore an ivory column gown reportedly designed by the former creative director of Carolina Herrera, Herve Pierre.

While the Trump ladies were getting compliments for their fashion, it was a much different story for President Donald Trump's senior advisor.

Conway appeared on Good Morning America ahead of the ceremony wearing what some might say was revolutionary-inspired.

Social media was quick with the feedback, of course, with some comparing her coat with the nutcracker look. Conway laughed when reporters asked her about her wool coat and said she got it from Gucci for $3,600.
