HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Former Major League Baseball player Chuck Knoblauch is expected in court today.

He is accused of attacking his wife while drunk. His wife told police that he came into a bedroom where she and a child were sleeping at their Memorial Villages home last week.

She says he began yelling at her, then grabbed her and smashed her head into a wall, then threw a humidifier at her as she ran.

Police arrested Knoblauch and was later released on bond.

Knoblauch played high school baseball at Bellaire, then went on to play his college ball at A&M. In the Majors, he played for the Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals.
