Southern Mexico rocked by magnitude 5.7 earthquake

MEXICO CITY, Mexico (KTRK) -- A strong new earthquake rocked southern Mexico on Sunday, a day after facing another deadly aftershock.

Preliminary information from the U.S. Geological Survey is that a magnitude 5.7 earthquake hit near the coast of Chiapas, in southern Mexico.

We are waiting to hear of any reports of possible damage or injuries.

Mexico has experienced three devastating earthquakes just this month.

More than 400 people have been killed, and at least two died in yesterday's earthquake.
