While kayaking down a river, this angler managed to rescue a baby duckling and return it to its family.
A negligent fly fisher had left their rig hanging from a tree branch, and the duckling tried to eat the fly still attached to it. Luckily Kevin Hughes came across it when he did.
"As an angler, a big part of what I believe in is conservation," wrote Hughes on YouTube. "I think it's important that we use our time on the water to ensure that it stays healthy, and that includes removing fishing debris whenever possible."
Hughes pulled the duckling into his kayak and removed the hook before gently placing the baby duck back into the water. Soon after, the duckling rejoined its family not too far away.
On YouTube, Hughes asked viewers to "clean up after yourself" to protect the nearby wildlife.
