Deputy injured in scuffle during suspect's DUI arrest

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man and a deputy were both treated for minor injuries after getting into a scuffle during the suspect's arrest in east Houston.

Authorities say the deputy pulled over the man on the East Freeway near John Ralston around 11pm Friday. The two immediately began fighting and the deputy called for extra units.

Investigators say the man will be charged with DUI but more charges could be coming.
