Deputy constable hurt in crash
The Precinct 4 deputy constable and another driver were both hurt in the accident.

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- Two Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables were involved in crashes on the same road just two hours apart.

The first accident happened on Ciderwood and Aldine Westfield. The second crash was just a mile away.

The Precinct 4 constable's office says that the deputy attempted to make a U-turn on Aldine-Westfield. Police say he was making that U-turn because he spotted a man in a wheelchair trying to cross the busy street.

The deputy was trying in an attempt to help him cross. That's when he collided head-on with an SUV.

The driver of the SUV had his 20-year-old son in the front seat with him. Were told he was not critically injured.

The other wreck happened near the first a couple hours later. At this point, we don't know the condition of anyone involved in that wreck.
