Driver killed in Acres Homes-area collision

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was killed in a two-car collision Friday night near a popular grocery store in the Acres Homes area.

It happened in the 700 block of North Victory Drive in front of Joe V's grocery store.

Authorities say a car T-boned a pickup truck, flipping it over. The man behind the wheel of the truck died at the scene.

Police are still trying to determine whether speed or alcohol is a factor in the wreck.
