HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The murder of Deputy Darren Goforth has generated an unprecedented show of support for his family in cash and merchandise, which is being produced and sold, for donations to be given to his widow.

One item that's in high demand is a decal, with the message "United We Goforth" over a black and white graphic of the US flag. The only bit of color is a thin blue line.

The decals went into production just 4 days ago. They're being produced without charge by ADDI Printing in Pearland. Volunteer Lisa Ciaccio approached the business for help. At first, a few hundred were created, but they sold at the gas station memorial within a matter of minutes.

Since then, 6,000 have been produced and they've been sold for $10 each.

On Sunday,a Harris County dispatcher came by to pick up 25 she had asked be set aside. She worked at the dispatch during Goforth's shift, but wasn't on duty the night he was killed. In return she left a check made out to Kathleen Goforth, the deputy's widow.

The co-owners of the business say they're doing it for a family now without a dad. Both of the owners are new fathers themselves. The thought of their children being without them is what brought them into the printing shop this holiday weekend, when the business would usually be closed.

Orders are now coming in from out-of-state. The company's website is addiprinting.com. The decals are also available at Texas Direct Auto locations around the Houston area.
