HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The detective relieved of duties in the Deputy Darren Goforth murder case may go before a disciplinary panel.
Investigator Craig Clopton admitted to consensual sexual conduct with a witness to Goforth's murder. She is the same woman who claims she was having an affair with the slain deputy.

The witness spurred the defense in the case to ask to see Goforth's receipts from the gas station in northwest Harris County.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office has called this a "fishing expedition" and "not relevant."
These disciplinary panels are generally private, closed-door meetings and happen every Thursday.
