Cy-Fair shuts down Lamar in area round

CYPRESS, TX -- Defense is synonymous with Cy-Fair football. Once again, the unit was the star Friday night.

Cy-Fair defeated Lamar in a 17-12 win Friday at Pridgeon Stadium in the UIL Region 3-6A, Division I area football playoffs.

The win puts the Bobcats in the regional semifinals for the third time in four years. They'll face Dickinson at 1 p.m. Nov. 29 at Rice Stadium.
