Highway 290 now open after wayward cows rounded up

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Highway 290 was closed today at the Brazos River Bridge after more than 100 cows managed to get out on the road.

More than 100 head of cattle crossing 290 managed to close down the roadway at the Brazos River Bridge on May 27, 2016.

The Waller County Sheriff's Office says deputies worked to clear the cattle from the road.
