Elderly man, daughter-in-law found dead in The Woodlands home

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (KTRK) -- An elderly man and his daughter-in-law were killed during a shooting in the backyard of a home in The Woodlands on Saturday.

The incident happened on Larks Aire Place around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office have identified the victims as 85-year-old Clarence Comer and 62-year-old Carmelita Comer.

Authorities are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide but have not identified a motive in the shooting.

A gun was found in the backyard of the home where six family members live.

No other details have been released.
