Child hit by car near elementary school in Atascocita

ATASCOCITA, Texas (KTRK) -- A child was hit by a vehicle in Atascocita Wednesday afternoon.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputies responded to reports of a child injured in the 7700 block of Par Five Drive around 1 p.m.

Deputies told Eyewitness News that the child did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, and is awake and breathing.

There's no word yet on if the driver will face any charges.
