One of the customers was pinned by the SUV and suffered injuries to his ribs. His friends say the customer is back home and is expected to survive.

Hector Rodriguez, another customer tells Eyewitness News he convinced his friend to eat at Dimassi's instead of another nearby restaurant and call what happened a strange twist of fate. Rodriguez suffered a sprained shoulder and scrapes to his knees.

The owner of Dimassi's says his crews have been working around the clock to clean up the restaurant. Eihab Aldaqamoni hopes to reopen his restaurant by Friday.
