HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It was a close call for a woman and her children after a car slammed into their home overnight.

It happened around 11 p.m. at the 5600 block of Hollow Pines in northeast Harris County.

Christina Mooney said she and her four children were inside the house. Two children were sitting at the kitchen table eating ice cream. Her oldest child was in the bedroom, and she and her 4-month-old were on the couch.

Mooney said the driver was going so fast that his car jumped a ditch along Normandy, hit the pool and slammed into her home, narrowly missing the woman and her baby.

Mooney showed ABC13 photos of the mess. You could see the black Chrysler 300 hanging out of a gaping hole on the side of the house.

No injuries were reported.
