Young entrepreneur creates customizable cupcakes

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Cupcake businesses are just about everywhere these days, but this one is different. Not only is a 17-year-old Alief Taylor High School student behind it, she puts her own twist on baking.

Teju Adeniji explained, "It's where all the possibilities are endless to your escape from reality."

Teju started 'Your Sweet Escapes' this year as a school project through the young entrepreneurs academy sponsored by Houston Community College. Through it, she learned how to start a business by actually doing it.

Teju stuck to what she knew by also giving people what their hearts, or stomachs, desired - three different cake layers, three different fillers, plus six different toppings as well as buttercream or cream cheese frosting.
