The Busby quints turn one!

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The first all-girl quintuplets born in the United States just celebrated their first birthday. The Busby quintuplets, born here in Houston at The Women's Hospital of Texas, are also the first all-girl quintuplets born anywhere in the world since 1969.

"Just the smallest things could trigger my memories back to where we were just a year ago in the NICU praying for these little tiny miracles," wrote the quintuplets mom, Danielle Busby on the family blog - It's A Buzz World. "We could not have asked for a better and healthier year for the quints."

The girls were born on April 8th at 28 weeks. It took just four minutes to deliver Olivia Marie, Ava Lane, Hazel Grace, Parker Kate and Riley Paige. Ava and Olivia are identical twins. The quints also have a big sister, Blayke. who turned 5-years-old just three days before the quints turned one.

"The quints are such a blast right now," wrote Danielle Busby. "I remember when Blayke was this age, it was just so much fun."

Danielle and her husband, Adam share how their family of three became a family of eight in the TV show, "OutDaughered."

Busby said Ava is the biggest of all the quints. She weighs 20 pounds, 11 ounces.

"Ava is very content playing alone or if she is playing with one of her sisters, she seems to play best with her twinsie Olivia," wrote Busby. "Ava and Olivia definitely have a different connection across the quints, and its so sweet."

Busby describes Olivia Marie as "our jolly little girl."

"This girl always has a smile, and will always make us smile," wrote Busby."I call it now....when she grows up she will be some type of dancer or singer...she loves to put on a show."

Hazel is the smallest of the quints. She weighs 17 pounds 9 ounces.

"Hazel is always in her own world and its like she knows she is the little one so she wants to stay far away (lol) from the others," wrote Busby. "She is so cute when you see her holding on to toys and walking around...she is so much smaller than the others and it just makes her so stinking adorable."

Busby jokingly describes Riley Page as "a hot mess."

"We have our hands full with this little princess," wrote Busby. "She hears the word 'No No'so much that if you say that to another baby she instantly gives her 'most annoying sound in world' (the chewbacca growl)."

Parker Kate is the youngest of the quints, but Busby describes her as "the alpha quint."

"She was the first to crawl and probably be the first to walk too," wrote Busby.
