Boy battling cancer still finds times to play hoops
Brody Stephens is fighting cancer for the second time in his life, but still found time to shoot some hoops while in treatment.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (KTRK) -- Brody Stephens is the reason why we love sports. The seven-year-old is fighting cancer for the second time in his life, but he still found time to shoot some hoops while in treatment. Stephens is the personification of 'Beast Mode.'

He was first diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) when he was just a baby, but he beat it at 18 months old.

Brody went on to become a basketball phenom and started playing on travel teams as a kindergartner.

However, four years and 11 months later, he was re-diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). It is extremely rare to have one boy get two different types of leukemia and this time, the battle was tougher. Brody has gone into septic shock, lost half his colon, and had to wear an ostomy bag for months.

He's been in the hospital since December 2015 receiving chemotherapy and needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. The seven-year-old knows he is in the fight of his life, but he also knows this is a battle he needs to win to get back on the basketball court. He continues to perfect his basketball skills between treatments and as you can see in the video above, he has not lost his touch.

You can follow Brody's progress on FaceBook at "Bubbles for Brody."

His family has also set up a GoFundMe account to help cover his medical expenses.
