BAYTOWN, TX (KTRK) -- Two more men have been charged with capital murder in connection with the deaths of two Baytown teenagers.
The Chambers County Sheriff's Office charged Richard Gonzalez, 21, and Valentin Jose Lazo Jr., 27 with the deaths of Alex Chavez and Jarvis Morgan.
Lazo allegedly confessed to his involvement in the murders, Baytown Assistant Police Chief Roger Clifford said.
Clifford says detectives investigating the deaths of Morgan and Chavez received tips that led them to Lazo, so they picked him up from his home Friday morning and brought him back to the police station for questioning; it was during that interrogation when he allegedly admitted to his role in the teens' deaths.
Eyewitness News Reporter Kaitlin McCulley caught up with Gonzalez and Lazo as they were officially charged in Chambers County Saturday afternoon. Here's how the conversation went with Lazo:
Gonzalez did not respond to any questions. Both men will stay in the Chambers County jail with no bond. Investigators are still looking for two other men in connection to this case, Brandon Flores and Juan Chavez.
Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne said more arrests are likely.
"This investigation has a lot of pieces to the puzzle," Hawthorne said, "So I don't think we're through yet."
Baytown police say they spoke to Flores the night of the teens' disappearance, but did not arrest him.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jose Chavez and Flores is asked to contact the Baytown Police Department.
