Bangladesh American Center's Multicultural Gala
The Bangladesh American Center hosted it's annual Multicultural Gala 2016 in Sugarland, TX on Friday, May 13th 2016. The gala hosted by Bangladesh Association was to promote education, healthcare, culture and various outreach programs. Houston's Mayor Sylvester Turner attended the event and gave a speech on building Houston as a multicultural city and supporting various communities.
Also present were many other dignitaries of the city including State Representative Gene Wu , ABC-13 Reporter Miya Shay, Houston Council member Amanda Edwards, Houston Chief of Police (interim) Martha Montalvo and Houston Chief of Fire Department Rodney West, among others.
The evening was emceed by Vice President, Community Affairs ABC-13, Ms. Cynthia Cisneros, who also accepted an award for community service on behalf of ABC-13 presented by the Bangladesh American Center and Mayor Sylvester Turner.
