Police looking for man who sexually assaulted 10-year-old in library
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Library patrons and parents were caught off guard by the news that a 10-year-old boy was sexually assaulted at the Aldine Branch of the Harris County Public Library.
"I was actually shocked, and I was angered," said new dad, Ryan Brown.
The library became a crime scene on August 24 when the Houston Police say the boy was assaulted in the restroom.
"It's like a peaceful place but once you hear that, it's like 'oh my God,'" said mother, Luz Reyes, "We need to be taking more care of our sons, you know?"

It happened about 3:30pm in the men's restroom at the front of the library. A surveillance camera caught an image of the suspect who is described by police as Hispanic, with a goatee, approximately 5'07" to 5'10", 140 to 170 pounds, wearing a dark polo shirt and pants at the time of the attack. Police say the man forced the boy into the stall, assaulted him and escaped. A source tells ABC13 the boy left but returned with his mother to report the crime.
Brown says his image should be posted everywhere to facilitate an arrest.
"Whoever has done that has a sick mind, is twisted, they don't need to be out here in the free world, they need to be locked up," Brown said.
The library tells Eyewitness News it has changed it's policy, now requiring a key for the restroom and escorting people to the restroom door.
