German indoor park could be vision for future Astrodome

BERLIN, Germany (KTRK) -- Harris county judge Ed Emmett and a small delegation are touring a resort in Germany, looking to see whether to model the Astrodome after it.

The judge, his staff and two members of the Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation will be meeting with experts at Tropical Islands Resort this afternoon.

The judge has proposed turning the Astrodome into an indoor park with hiking trails and exhibition space.
