'Kick In For Houston' donates mattress to Harvey victim

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- He was the focus of a heartbreaking viral video taken when Hurricane Harvey left southeast Texas flooded.

In the video, Aric Harding is sitting in front of piano keys while his home in Friendswood flooded.

The image stuck out as a moving picture of Harvey's toll on our community.

On Friday, it was quite the opposite scene for Harding who joined the celebrity participants of the Kick In For Houston charity soccer game.

The big names from multiple sports presented Harding with a new mattress and other wares to add to his rebuilding efforts at home.

Kick In For Houston, set for Saturday night at BBVA Compass Stadium, is being spareheaded by former Houston Dynamo player Stu Holden. Stars including Alex Bregman, Steve Nash, Mia Hamm, and Brian Ching met with Harding for the delivery.

Tickets for Kick In For Houston go towards Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Tickets range from $30 to $95. You can get tickets at kickinforhouston.com.
