It happened just before 1:30am in the 2500 block of East Cedar Bayou Drive near Railroad Street and Raccoon Dr. in east Harris County.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a Nissan Pathfinder was speeding when the driver lost control and slammed into a culvert. Two men, both in their early 20s, died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
HCSO performed skid tests that will help determine roughly how fast the vehicle was going before the crash.
East Cedar Bayou Lynchburg was closed in both directions while investigators processed the scene.
