It happened at the Enterprise Products on Barbours Cut at around 10am. According to the company, the fire broke out in a flow meter at the facility. A flow meter is a device that monitors the amount and flow of a product.
At this point, there have been no injuries reported and no cause on what led to the fire.
The Enterprise Products facility loads barges with natural gas liquids and crude oil.
