Investigators want to know why an abandoned gas station on Houston's south side caught fire overnight.

The building on Holmes and Calhoun went up in flames around midnight. The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was inside at the time, so HFD arson is investigating the cause.

The gas station was destroyed.
