It happened around 6pm at Hammerly Oaks Apartments on Hammerly near Hollister.
Police said the man was shot multiple times in the chest. According to investigators, they found drugs inside his apartment.
Officials tell us some of the bullets went through a glass door, but no one else was hurt.
Police have not released the man's name. His killer remains on the run.
