It happened at the Cabo San Lucas apartments on 10910 Gulf Freeway in the early morning hours of May 4. Police say a man kicked in the front door of an apartment there and demanded money from the victim, 25-year-old Evans Butler.

Police say Butler didn't comply and was shot by the suspect, who then fled in an unknown direction.

They go out of camera range, but shortly after a tall black male could be seen coming from the area of the victim's apartment, skipping towards the vehicles.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a chubby face with healing scars or acne.
