Police were called out to a scene on Marilyn at Kelburn. When officers arrived, they found two men who had been shot.
One was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
Authorities say they have no motive and no one in custody. Police are still investigating.
