A smart phone led police to a group of carjacking suspects in north Houston overnight.

Police say the suspects, including some minors, ambushed a man at a northwest Houston apartment building and forced him out of his vehicle. But his cell phone was inside the car and it had a GPS tracking device.

The signal led officers to north Houston, where they found the vehicle and the suspects. Police arrested all of the suspects, but only kept one person in custody.
