The fire broke out before 5am off the Southwest Freeway at Beechnut.
Dozens of firefigthters arrived on the scene to battle the fire. Neighbors say the homeowners were on vacation and are due to arrive today.
Fire officials say a halfway home nearby was evacuated as a precaution.
No word of any injuries.
