Nobody hurt in East Texas gas line explosion

Officials say no injuries have been reported in a gas line explosion in rural East Texas that shook some homes before dawn.

The Panola County Sheriff's Office says the fiery accident happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday near Gary. No damage was immediately reported.

A sheriff's dispatcher says the wellhead has been shut down. She had no further details on what type of gas line exploded or who owns the operation.

Further details were not immediately available.

Gary is about 160 miles southeast of Dallas.
