It happened around 1:15am at the Sherlock's Baker Street location on Westheimer near Briarpark in west Houston.
Houston police say there was an argument between two men and in the process, one of them was hit in the head with a bottle. Security broke up the fight in the bar. The men started to leave, each with their own group of friends, but the fight continued.
The man with the head injury was supposed to go to the hospital, but police believe a vehicle with the other man inside passed by and someone inside shot one time.
A woman in the group was hit in the leg, but police think it's likely that bullet was meant for the man.
Police are still looking for the vehicle that fled the scene.
