Investigators believe the man and woman were sitting in a car in the parking lot of a shopping center on Airline at Parker when she stabbed him an unknown number of times.
Houston police were called to the scene around 2am.
It is not clear how the man and woman know each other or why she stabbed him.
The woman fled the scene and the man was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious but stable condition.
