A Houston man indicted on a federal drug charge has pleaded not guilty to allegations he was trafficking cocaine to Mississippi.

The Sun Herald reports 25-year-old Kendrick Cox was arrested in Pascagoula on July 9 following a search of a motel room.

During the search, agents reportedly seized 32 grams of marijuana, 235 Xanax pills, 42 grams of crack cocaine and 211 grams of powder cocaine. Authorities also found a .40-caliber handgun, a .357-Magnum revolver and $3,600 in cash in the room.

Cox appeared in U.S. District Court on Thursday. He's set to go to trial in October.
